Salary: £12,090 pa (part-time, 15 hours per week)
Location: Finsbury Park, Islington (Fixed Location)
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 3.30 pm-6.30 pm

We are recruiting for our client who is seeking two dedicated and passionate Detached Youth Workers to join their dynamic team. This exciting opportunity involves delivering high-quality, innovative street-based youth work in Finsbury Park, Islington, focusing on the Andover estate, Six Acres estate, and surrounding areas. This role is funded by the Violence Reduction Unit and is part-time, running from January 2026 to December 2026, with the possibility of a one-year extension.

Overview of the Role:
As a Detached Youth Worker, your primary goal will be to engage with young people in their communities, building trust and providing the support needed for them to overcome challenges and achieve positive outcomes.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience working with young people, particularly in urban environments
- Youth Work Level 2 qualification or above
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people living on estates
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passionate about empowering young people and fostering positive relationships
- Committed to promoting inclusivity and diversity in youth work
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage and build relationships with young people in street-based settings
- Facilitate activities that encourage personal development and social skills
- Support young people in overcoming barriers to achieve their goals
- Collaborate with local agencies and charities to provide comprehensive support
- Maintain accurate records of engagement and outcomes
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic planning
- Advocate for the needs and rights of young people within the community
