Job Title: Skilled Production Operative (Fire Door Manufacturing)
Location: Romford, London
Employment Type: Full-time, Temp Perm

About the Role
A well-established manufacturer of certified fire doors is seeking an experienced Production Operative to join their growing team. You will play a key part in the manufacturing process, producing high-quality fire-rated doors for residential and commercial properties.
This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a woodworking, joinery or panel-processing environment, who can confidently operate a range of machinery.
Key Responsibilities
· Operating laminating and veneering presses
· Using the edgebander to apply edging materials to panels
· Working with sanding machinery for surface preparation and finishing
· Cutting panels to size using a wall saw
· Maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality throughout production
· Following health & safety procedures within a workshop/manufacturing environment
· Supporting general production duties as required
Skills & Experience Required
· Proven experience in a manufacturing or joinery workshop setting
· Confident operation of:
o Laminating press
o Veneering press
o Edgebander
o Sanding machine
o Wall saw
· Strong understanding of safe machine operation
· Ability to work to precise measurements
· Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Reliability, teamwork, and a solid work ethic
Desirable but Not Essential
· Experience working with fire door production
· Knowledge of timber machining and panel processing
· Understanding of compliance standards in fire-rated products
