The Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Buyer Relations to lead and elevate our global buyer strategy at Private Luxury Events and play a key role in launching and growing a new event within the luxury travel space.
You will spearhead the development and delivery of a buyer recruitment and engagement strategy across our portfolio. This includes building influential partnerships, curating high-calibre audiences, and supporting the continued success of our market-leading brands.
Lead and Evolve Buyer Recruitment Strategy
- Define and execute a global buyer recruitment and engagement strategy across all Private Luxury Events brands, and our new flagship event.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and senior leadership to ensure strategies align with business goals, positioning, and commercial targets.
- Set and oversee buyer recruitment targets, ensuring consistent delivery of quality and diversity across all regions.
Build and Strengthen Strategic Relationships
- Cultivate and manage relationships with senior buyers, advisors, and decision-makers within the luxury travel and hospitality industry.
- Use your network to identify opportunities for partnerships, audience expansion, and long-term engagement.
- Represent Private Luxury Events as a trusted industry ambassador.
Drive Performance and Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing Buyer Relations team.
- Provide strategic guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Oversee recruitment campaigns, prospecting initiatives, and pipeline management.
Champion Innovation and Market Insight
- Analyse industry trends, buyer behaviour, and market opportunities.
- Introduce new ideas, technologies, and engagement tactics.
- Partner with marketing and sales.
Global Representation and Brand Advocacy
- Represent Private Luxury Events externally.
- Act as a visible leader and advocate for the brand.
- Support on-site event delivery.
Requirements
You are a relationship-builder and strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the global luxury travel landscape. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by leading teams, creating meaningful connections, and shaping strategies that drive results.
You combine commercial acumen with emotional intelligence and balance data-driven decisions with an intuitive grasp of partnerships. You should bring:
- Proven experience in senior relationship management, buyer engagement, or commercial leadership within luxury travel, hospitality, or events.
- A strong professional network of senior travel advisors, decision-makers, and partners within the global luxury market.
- Success in developing and executing buyer recruitment strategies or partnership programmes that deliver growth.
- Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to build and inspire teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with creativity and discipline.
- High professionalism, adaptability, and self-motivation with a passion for excellence.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
