Job description
Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Heathrow Area
• Experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial/warehouse setting
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical systems a proficient understanding of Hydraulic and Mechanical equipment would be a distinct advantage
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
• Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Emergency Call Out duty on a rostered basis
• Working away from home on site will be necessary on occasions
• Overtime will be required to be performed on occasions
Responsibilities include:
• Track, monitor and manage the progress of your own work and report accordingly on the computerised maintenance system
• Work under Permit to Work System when necessary
• Work on Preventative Planned Maintenance
• The successful applicant will be expected to troubleshoot and problem-solve engineering issues
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems and equipment
• Install, repair and maintain electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems and equipment
• Ensure all Breakdowns are addressed in a timely manner
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure continuous and efficient operation of equipment
• Document maintenance activities and keep accurate records of repairs and replacements
Skills & Experience:
• Must be time served in an Electrical Engineering Discipline, have good numeracy and literacy skills
• 18th edition would be desirable
• Ability to read and work with electrical drawings
• An understanding of PLC & Drive Systems would be a distinct advantage
• Preference given to an industrial background
• Hold a full clean UK driving license
• Clean DBS and able to work on their own.
Be able to provide relevant documentation to obtain an airside pass (5 years reference history- NO GAPS)
