The successful candidate will help uphold the destination’s reputation as a safe, welcoming and well-managed environment.Information:Job Title: Duty Security Manager Location: London Bridge (SE1)Pay Rate: £21.70 per hourHours of Work: 42 hours per weekRoster: 4 on 4 off - Nights Job Requirements:SIA Door Supervisor & CCTV Licence required2 years Team Leader/Supervisor/Senior Officer experience in the corporate environment, this must be your most recent role.Excellent communication both written & verbalTo provide excellent levels of customer service alwaysExperience in managing staff performance - Ability to make informed decisions under pressure Key Responsibilities:To always ensure that security team members are deployed effectively to post; operate all the required systems & conduct all required functions. Working in conjunction with Control, to ensure the seamless delivery of exceptional service standards to internal/external customersSet high personal standards to include personal appearance, hygiene, work knowledge, time keeping, and other standards associated with work at 1 London Wall PlaceTo continuously demand the highest standards of service delivery from security team members by providing full briefings and guidance to themUndertake fair and efficient duty rostering of the team on Time Gate & allocate annual leave and overtime duties to prescribed procedures in liaison with the Security Manager. Implement the company performance management mechanism, which should include the periodic monthly/annual progress reviews and complete probation reports for subordinates to prescribed deadlinesMonitor attendance and time-keeping records and take any required remedial action where necessary, investigate and report to senior line management on disciplinary and grievance matters whilst providing leadership and support to sustain good team moraleParticipate and contribute positively to the security team management. Attend meetings as required and provide reports and recommendations on the activities of the security operationTo be performed at the start/end of each of duty, ensuring that all systems are fully operational and where they are not, initiate corrective action by informing incoming DSM with an accurate report as a handover with a copy being sent to the Security and Customer Security ManagersManage and control the response to all incidents in a timely and effective manner by directing the security team members, always the central aim should be to safeguard individuals and the assets of the customer, ensuring that direction from line management is sought where appropriate.Ensure that the maintenance of records is conducted from which handovers can be compiled and made available to the management team, maintain records as directed by Security & customer Security Managers to ensure full transparency of eventsManage the polite and effective processing of all telephone enquiries received at the Security Control Room, process building fault reports where appropriate, passing and escalating to the correct helpdesk and if necessary, requesting the assistance of line management in resolving.Deploy security team members to escort contract workers where necessary, no contractor may enter a restricted space without the prior clearance from the department owning the space, and then only under escort.Sound knowledge of all standard operation procedures, health and safety, emergency proceduresTour the site periodically (a minimum of 2 periods over a tour of duty) to ensure that all is in order, to check designated areas and to ensure that all site security team members are carrying out their required duties effectively and responsibly.
