There will be a number of opportunities available to participate in research, including leading data collection for a national prospective cohort study of ventilation patients. The post also includes responsibilities to develop and contribute to continuing education, professional development and audit.
The service is led by highly engaged consultants and physiologists, and the job offers the chance to work in a multidisciplinary environment, alongside physiotherapists, physiologists and specialist nurses. The post is open to doctors who have completed Internal medical Stage 1 training. The hours of work are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. On call is not part of the post; options for locum out of hours work are available. Applications for part time or job share will be considered.
