We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Civils Supervisor on our Highways Term Maintenance Contract in Luton.
Lead and coordinate both in-house and subcontract teams to ensure projects meet operational, financial, and deadline goals. You'll ensure all work aligns with contract requirements and is carried out in full compliance with legal and safety standards.
About you
The overall purpose is to supervise, lead and coordinate teams, including direct staff and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage reactive and planned works.
- Supervise teams, providing support and coaching.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company procedures.
- Monitor budgets, stock levels, and quality standards.
- Liaise with clients and colleagues to maintain strong working relationships.
- Oversee depot operations and security of vehicles, plant, and materials.
- Complete site inspections (HSE-07) and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in out-of-hours emergency and winter services as required.

- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and motivate teams.
- Essential certifications:
- CSCS
- SSSTS
- NRSWA Supervisor
- NHSS 12D M7
- First Aid
- HGV and Winter Plant Operation training and competence
