Crynodeb
We are seeking caring, motivated and enthusiastic individuals to provide high-quality, person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs in Dudley.
This role involves supporting people with needs such as dysphagia, epilepsy requiring rescue medication, wheelchair use, and other complex presentations. You will play a key part in promoting independence, maintaining health and wellbeing, and helping people live fulfilling, valued lives. You will also support individuals to build confidence, develop their skills and take an active role in their local community.
As a Complex Care Worker, your role will include:
• Supporting daily living – Assist with personal care, mobility, positioning, eating and drinking (including dysphagia plans) and health needs, always maintaining dignity and respect.
• Supporting complex health needs – Follow clinical guidance, including epilepsy protocols and the administration of rescue medication once fully trained.
• Enjoying activities together – Accompany the people we support with trips out such as shopping, cafés, leisure activities and community events, or spend time together at home ding meaningful activities.
• Working in partnership – Build positive relationships with families and professionals so that support is coordinated, personalised and safe.
You do not need previous experience in complex care – what matters most are the right values, a willingness to learn and a genuine desire to help others. We are looking for people who are:
• Kind, patient and respectful
• Good communicators, including using non-verbal communication
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting dignity, choice and independence
• Flexible, reliable, and willing to work shifts including evenings and weekends
For informal enquiries, please contact Jonathan Keane on 07794 394516 or jonathan.keane@creativesupport.co.uk, or Ruth Bayliss on 07976 947498 or ruth.bayliss@creativesupport.co.uk.
