Educato is seeking dedicated and experienced tutors to deliver high-quality 1:1 and small-group tuition for Looked After Children (LAC) across the Stockport area. These roles take place in a range of schools and community settings, supporting vulnerable learners who require tailored intervention to help them make sustained progress.
The Role:
• Deliver personalised 1:1 or small-group tuition in core subjects (English, Maths and/or Science)
• Plan engaging sessions that address individual learning gaps and EHCP/PEP targets
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of each learner
• Liaise with schools, social workers and virtual school teams to ensure joined-up support
• Track, assess and report on student progress in line with PEP requirements
You Will Be Working In:
• A variety of Stockport primary and secondary schools
• Community settings or alternative provision sites where appropriate
• Supportive environments committed to improving outcomes for LAC pupils
You Will Need:
• QTS or relevant tutoring/teaching qualification
• Experience delivering tuition or targeted intervention (LAC experience desirable)
• Strong subject knowledge in English and/or Maths
• The ability to build trusting relationships with vulnerable young people
• An enhanced, transferable DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
