Are you a confident, energetic Sports Coach looking to use your skills to make a real difference in a school setting?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a diverse, welcoming secondary school in Handsworth as a Sports & Behaviour Mentor, a role where your coaching experience, leadership and positive presence can genuinely change pupils' lives.
If you love motivating young people, keeping them active and helping them make better choices, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

Why You'll Love This Role:
- A supportive school that values your energy and coaching background.
- The chance to turn your sports skills into meaningful behaviour support.
- Free CPD including Behaviour Management, SEMH training and Mentoring Essentials.
- Consistent hours, term-time only and weekly pay.
- A long-term role with the potential to become permanent.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Using sport, fitness and active sessions to engage pupils with SEMH or behaviour needs.
- Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups both inside and outside the classroom.
- Building positive relationships and acting as a role model pupils can trust.
- Helping de-escalate behaviour incidents and encouraging better emotional regulation.
- Running movement breaks, sports activities and motivational sessions throughout the day.
- Working closely with the Pastoral Team, SENCO and PE Department to support individual needs.

About You:
- A sports coaching qualification or strong coaching experience.
- Confident leading activities, motivating young people and keeping them engaged.
- Calm, patient and consistent when managing challenging situations.
- Ideally some background in youth work, mentoring or school-based support but strong behaviour management skills are just as valuable.
- A positive, resilient individual who enjoys helping pupils build confidence, resilience and better habits.

If you're ready for a role where your coaching skills and positive energy can change the direction of a young person's day, week or even their future we'd love to hear from you.
