Description of the Role:

We are looking for a workshop-based service engineer

Working under minimum supervision, the Service Workshop Engineer will be responsible for helping maintain customer vehicles to our high standards of repair. The role will entail working on 3.5T-17.5t commercial vans or chassis cab/Unimog truck vehicles or other vehicles as required. This includes spider lifts and large lorry mounted access platforms.

Within the service department we have a large refurbishment project happening which may be a key role.

Need an engineer that can work on their own and closely with a small team

Some driving will be required (ie collecting of parts and dropping of vehicles)

Responsible for (Duties):

1. Routine servicing of lifts.

2. Carrying our LOLER examinations/inspections.

3. Diagnosing and repairing faults on electrical and hydraulic systems.

4. Completion of all relevant documentation pertaining to Services, Repairs and Inspections that have been carried out.

5. Ensuring all work completed complies with relevant Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation and Policy.

6. The completion of new product training when necessary.

7. To keep the workshop clean and tidy meeting Health and Safety standards.

8. The ability to train others.

9. The completion of other tasks as may be reasonably requested by the Company.

Scope:

The Service Workshop Engineer will need to have electrical and hydraulic experience, to provide on-site (C technical expertise and support and to be able to deal with any corrective or preventative works.

Delivering an excellent customer service whilst maintaining a professional approach to customers and colleagues at all times.

Hours of Work

Your normal contractual hours of work are 42 per week: -

7:00am – 4:15pm Monday to Thursday
7.00am – 2.30pm Friday
