Main Responsibilities To manage a wide range ofDDAT projects ensuring that the deliverables are produced to the required quality, within a specified time frame, within budget and that the project organisation is consistent with the complexity of the project. To build and maintain multi-disciplinary DDAT delivery teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and working well, and focused on what is most important to delivery To coach and mentor both team members and others to apply the most appropriate Agile and Lean tools and techniques Use specialist knowledge, consultancy skills and experience to advise on DDAT solutions and guide staff on a course of action. To diagnose complex DDAT problems by analysing information and data in order to recommend a solution. To develop, maintain and monitor plans for projects, tailoring the plans in accordance with the complexity of the project. To develop business cases for securing project funding using experience to ensure that costs for all impacted departments and/or services are identified. To follow Trust Standing Financial Instructions. To manage the budget during the course of the project/s. To use specialist knowledge for developing specifications (Output Based Specifications) where a need for an DDAT solution is identified. This will involve significant analytical work. To develop appropriate communication plans and communicate at all levels within the organisation. To facilitate or contribute to post implementation reviews. To document the lessons learned from the implementations and communicate these to a wide range of staff (internal and external) either by presentation or formal report. To use specialist knowledge to ensure that DDAT implementations are carried out in accordance with change management best practice. To develop and maintain protocols and standards for system implementation in accordance with project and change management best practice. To use specialist techniques to analyse and document current working practices. To use specialist techniques to either lead or contribute to appropriate changes in working practice, in order to maximise the benefits of the new system. To ensure any changes to working practice and/or job roles involve the necessary consultation with managers, staff and their representatives. To manage the performance of the implementation team and ensure their personal & professional development needs are addressed. To ensure the implementation team adhere to specialist protocols and standards. Other duties as commensurate with the grade and role as agreed with line manager. Communication To work with the Portfolio Manager to establish project communication plans. Present workshops to large groups of staff including senior management and senior clinical staff, ensuring the media is adapted for the audience. Communicate confidential and sensitive information to stakeholders in an appropriate manner. Work with key stakeholders involved in Digital & DDAT projects to facilitate collaborative working. Influence opinions to ensure the right outcomes are reached, that meet the needs of the organisation, service and stakeholders involved. Motivate colleagues to encourage collaborative working to improve services/performance. Keep up to date by developing a network of personal contacts. Support the smooth running of the Digital Programme and Project Implementation teams. To have the ability to work with people who are not fully committed to project objectives. Skills/Knowledge Understand relevant developments within the NHS environment. To utilise planning and organisational skills appropriate to the level of the project Manage multiple projects in line with the needs of the team, managing resource conflicts and interdependencies. The ability to communicate and share knowledge and practices with other specialist and non-specialist colleagues at all levels across health care settings. A high level of interpersonal skill is required. Motivational skills Excellent presentational skills Knowledge of health service management, including change management and work force redesign Business, Finance and Performance Ensure adherence to financial policy and practice. Ensure adherence to project quality control mechanisms. Work to ensure that all mandatory requirements are delivered. Work with the project and implementation teams to deliver projects in an effective manner. Have responsibility for risk management and health and safety in the workplace.
