Job responsibilities The HCA/Phlebotomist will assist the Practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care, including: Obtaining patient consent for the collection of blood samples Phlebotomy Blood pressure monitoring Height and weight monitoring (incl BMI) Flu vaccinations (under PSD) Wound care NHS Health Checks Injections (under PSD) Ensuring samples are sent to the laboratory in a timely manner Chaperoning duties Maintaining accurate patient records Support and participate in shared learning within the Practice Follow infection control procedures Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and wellbeing Re-stocking clinical rooms
