Crynodeb
You will join a team of 6x Consultants, 1x Associate Specialist and 2x Speciality Doctors who have an interest in General Respiratory Medicine, Sleep and Lung Cancer. The wider team is supported by a team of Resident Doctors, MTI, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Respiratory Physiologists and a Physiotherapist. There is a dedicated visiting Thoracic Surgeon from Harefield Hospital; we have Oncology and Palliative Care support based locally; and excellent links for tertiary care with Oxford, Papworth and The Brompton Hospital. The Cancer Centre at Milton Keynes University Hospital is expanding. We provide on-site radiotherapy. We envisage a rapid expansion of the services we provide regionally. We have successfully initiated Targeted Lung Health Check cancer screening services and are looking to bolster our diagnostics, including the development of navigational Bronchoscopy services.
