Welder / Fabricator
Location: Bridgwater (workshop-based with some site work)
Pay Rate: £18.50+ per hour (DOE)
Hours: 50–60 hours per week
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
Additional: Regular overtime available
We are recruiting for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join a busy engineering team in Bridgwater. This is a long-term, temp-to-perm opportunity offering excellent weekly hours, great earning potential, and varied fabrication work.
What You’ll Be Doing:• Welding and fabricating from detailed engineering drawings
• MIG & TIG welding (TIG on stainless steel light-gauge components)
• Stick welding – beneficial but not essential
• Welding stub shafts into rollers
• Working with stainless steel for food-industry equipment
• Fabricating box section steel and structural components
• Supporting workshop and site jobs as needed
• Strong MIG and TIG welding experience
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Experience working with stainless steel and light-gauge sheet metal
• Stick welding skills (advantage but not required)
• Reliable, skilled, and confident working independently or within a team
• Previous experience in fabrication and mechanical assembly
• £18.50+ per hour depending on experience
• 50–60 hours per week
• Regular overtime available
• Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term stability
• Varied and interesting fabrication work in a busy workshop
