Your new role
As a Financial Accounting Manager, you will lead the strategic and operational deliveryof financial and statutory accounting, treasury functions, taxation services,and financial controls. You will manage a team of four directreports, and oversee annual accounts, treasury management, accounts payable,accounts receivable, VAT, and Common Good Funds. The role requires ensuringcompliance with statutory, regulatory, and best practice requirements whiledriving improvements that support organisational objectives. You will takeresponsibility for preparing and delivering statutory financial statements,managing external audit processes, and overseeing treasury management policy,cash flow, investments, and debt financing. In addition, you will provideexpert technical advice to senior management and committees, build effectivepartnerships across the organisation, and lead continuous development offinancial systems and reporting frameworks.


What you'll need to succeed
Tosucceed in this role, you will be a qualified accountant with significantpost-qualification experience in statutory accounting, treasury management, orfinancial management within complex organisations. Strong technicalskills in financial accounting and statutory reporting are essential, alongwith proven leadership ability to motivate and develop teams through change.You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you toinfluence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Experience in managingrelationships with auditors and external advisers, combined with a proactive,customer-focused approach and a commitment to continuous improvement, will bekey to your success. Above all, you will demonstrate high standards of personaland professional integrity.
