Consultant Rheumatologist – Preston (10PA)
Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Rheumatologist at the Minerva Health Centre in Preston. The post is full time (10 PAs) and offered as a substantive contract.
The Rheumatology Service in Central Lancashire is an established community-based service. The Minerva Health Centre provides accommodation for a range of community teams and services that provide ongoing treatment and care to people with long-term conditions. The service is part of an Integrated Musculoskeletal Service which includes rheumatology, MSK, physiotherapy, community pain and CFS service. In-reach is provided to the local acute trust.
We are looking for an enthusiastic consultant colleague to join this forward thinking, dynamic team. There is an extensive multi-disciplinary team consisting of four Consultant Rheumatologists, a Consultant Physiotherapist, five Clinical Nurse Specialists, two Occupational Therapists, two Physiotherapists and a dedicated Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician.
Applicants must be fully registered with the GMC and have a License to Practice, hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within 6 months of attaining CCT at the time of interview.
The role:
· 2 SPAs as standard for a full time post (we would be flexible in looking at enhancements to support other activities that support the wider ambitions of the Trust).
· Excellent peer support group
· Study leave budget of £3000 over 3 years or up to £5000 over 3 years for newly qualified Consultants
· Opportunities to be a clinical supervisor
· Relocation package available.
