Crynodeb

Lincolnshire is leading the way in transforming child protection practice. Following our role as a national Pathfinder for the Families First Partnership Programme, we are building on strong foundations and expanding our innovative Multi-Agency Child Protection

Team (MACPT). This is your opportunity to join us at a pivotal moment and help shape the future of child protection in Lincolnshire.

We need a second Team Manager, who can work collaboratively to provide inspiring leadership to a specialist team of Lead Child Protection Practitioners (LCPPs) who are central to driving high-quality child protection planning and ensuring consistent, collaborative decision-making for children and families. This is not just a management role, it’s a chance to influence practice at a strategic level and create the conditions for innovative practice and family first thinking!

What makes this role unique?

You’ll work with a colleague to lead a team that sits at the heart of Lincolnshire’s safeguarding partnership, working alongside Independent Reviewing Officers, and the Local Authority Designated Officer within our Quality and Standards Service.
You’ll champion relationship-based practice and systems thinking, ensuring that innovation and consistency underpin everything we do.
You’ll work closely with locality managers and partners to strengthen collaborative approaches, supporting social workers and their supervisors to deliver outstanding outcomes for children.
Your leadership will:

Embed and evolve the MACPT model, ensuring it remains purposeful, partnership-driven, and effective for families.
Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement across child protection planning.
Foster a culture of learning, reflection, and shared responsibility within your team and across the wider service.

This is an exciting time to join Lincolnshire. We’ve laid the groundwork—now we need a second manager who can work collaboratively with the manager in post already to take us forward. If you are passionate about child protection, committed to systemic approaches, and ready to make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.

About You

A Social Work qualification is essential for this post.
You will have:

At least 5 years post-qualifying experience working with children and families.
Recent experience in child protection practice and recent/current leadership experience.
A proven track record of working creatively to ensure services engage children and young people in decision-making and promote their voices.
Strong skills in partnership working and the ability to influence practice across agencies.
Our offer

We are offering a competitive salary of £60,050 - £65,878 along with an extensive benefits package; details of which can be found in rewards and benefits brochure. Our current staff recommend the many opportunities for professional support and development, the passion for safeguarding across the service and the commitment to relationship based practice.

Closing date: 7th December 2025 Interviews are planned for 16th, 17th 18th and 19th December 2025
