Your new role

Joining a market-leading construction disputes team, you will handle a diverse range of contentious matters including litigation, adjudication, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution processes. You will advise on policy coverage disputes and underlying construction disputes, acting for and against construction professionals, employers, and contractors on major transport, energy, engineering, and infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally.You will work closely with specialists across the firm, including non-contentious construction and real estate teams, to provide holistic advice on professional risk issues and regulatory changes impacting the construction and insurance sectors. You can expect involvement with a variety of standard construction contracts and procedures, as well as participation in dispute resolution processes through courts and arbitration forums, both in the UK and internationally.


What you'll need to succeed

You should ideally have experience in handling construction disputes within a reputable legal environment, with a good understanding of key industry contracts and procedures. Familiarity with adjudication and litigation processes is important, and exposure to arbitration or international matters would be beneficial. Strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential. A client-focused approach and willingness to contribute to business development activities will help you succeed in this role. Additional sector-specific experience, such as fire safety, would be advantageous but is not essential.
