The SCM Supervisor- Practitioner Psychologist role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified practitioner psychologist who has a strong interest in working with service users with Complex Emotional Needs. You will work alongside other SCM practitioners to implement SCM within the Core teams across Enfield and Haringey. The role offers the opportunity for direct clinical work including assessment, formulation and treatment in both group and individual settings. A key part of the role is to lead on the implementation of SCM within Enfield and Haringey, offering support and supervision to SCM Practitioners. The role also has scope for training and consultation to other healthcare professionals.
The ideal candidate will have an enthusiasm for working with a CEN population using a structured evidenced based approach. They will enjoy working within a team, whilst also being able to work independently. The candidate will be required to travel between St Anne’s Hospital (Haringey) and Chase Farm Hospital (Enfield).
The organisation is committed to supporting the right candidate to both develop skills in SCM, supervisor and CPD within the wider CEN Pathway. You will have access to SCM training, regular group and individual supervision.
Clinical
-Direct clinical work with CEN population across Enfield and Haringey. To include assessment, formulation, treatment both individual and group.
-Risk assessment and management within the SCM pathway
Supervision/Teaching/consultation
-Supporting and directly supervising SCM Practitioners within Enfield and Haringey
-Supporting the wider MDT in relation to CEN population, to include consultation and training.
Service development
-Audit and evaluation of SCM across Enfield and Haringey
-With the support of the Head of CEN and Senior leads across the Enfield and Haringey to lead on the implementation of SCM within core teams

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
Clinical Responsibilities
To use a high level of interpersonal skills, reasoning and negotiation skills to establish a therapeutic relationship with people with complex emotional difficulties managing barriers to communication.
To provide SCM supervision to clinicians individually and in groups
To provide in house SCM training
To collaborate with the service user to enable the individual to be a partner in care.
To undertake SCM assessment to include, mental health and risk assessments, psychological formulation and care planning.
To provide SCM in both 1:1 sessions and group sessions in conjunction with other practitioners
To act as a named worker for the service users allocated to your care practising without direct supervision and with a degree of autonomy.
To make onward referrals and signpost to other services including VCSE and neighbourhood services to enable wrap around, holistic support for service users undergoing treatment to meet a broad range of need.
To participate in MDT discussions
To liaise with and develop relationships with other agencies involved in the service users care to ensure consistent multi agency approach and maintain effective communication.
Provide advice and guidance to other members of the team/s in relation to SCM.
To attend and participate in SCM supervision and individual clinical supervision.
To participate in other clinical duties as appropriate
Research And Development
• Alongside other SCM practitioners and under supervision to monitor, evaluate and modify all individual and group-work interventions/treatment in order to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of intervention.
• To participate in data collection, audit and research as required
Responsibility for Administration
To maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping including electronic entry and recording, report writing and the responsible exercise of professional governance in accordance with professional codes of practice of the regulating body and Organisation
