Are you passionate about helping children and young people thrive? Are you looking for a rare opportunity to help shape a brand-new Educational Psychology Service on the Isle of Wight?
About the role
You will join the founding team responsible for establishing our Educational Psychology Service and contributing to a range of strategic initiatives. Your work will include:
- Developing and applying specialist skills in assessing, monitoring, and supporting children and young people with SEND.
- Contributing to service planning, performance monitoring, and ensuring statutory timelines are met.
- Helping design and grow our traded services offer.
- Representing the EP Service in multi-agency meetings and partnership groups.
- Working with senior leaders to deliver the island's Education Strategy and strengthen SEND provision, including supporting our Safety Valve commitments.
- Undertaking a varied caseload comprising statutory and non-statutory work.
About you
You will be a qualified, HCPC-registered Educational Psychologist with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively. You should be able to attend in-person meetings when required and share our commitment to securing positive outcomes for children and young people across the Island.
As a new service, we are focused on building strong relationships with schools, partners, and council teams. We are seeking enthusiastic and innovative colleagues who value distributed leadership and want to play an active role in shaping a growing department.
