Landmarc has an exciting opportunity for a Training Area & Facilities Manager to lead a dedicated team at Wyke Regis Training Area, ensuring a safe and compliant estate that supports vital military training. Combining facilities management, logistics, and fleet oversight, you’ll work closely with the Armed Forces to provide essential equipment and integrated support, from military bridging to safety vessels, while driving site improvements and contributing to the wider Landmarc team across the South West.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all staff and contractors on site
- Lead the team in line with Landmarc’s values and behaviours, fostering a positive culture
- Oversee delivery of contractual requirements and outputs for Wyke Regis Training Area
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and end users to support training needs
- Commit to ongoing development of both yourself and the team to maintain skills and knowledge
- Drive site productivity and ensure operations deliver value for money
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices within Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams of around 15–20 people
- Skilled in developing both individuals and overall team performance
- Experienced in applying formal processes to manage attendance, behaviour, and capability effectively
- Proficient in task planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Adept at gathering information from documentation and stakeholders to identify solutions and resolve problems
- Confident in producing clear, concise written instructions, reports, and business cases
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
- UK Driving Licence essential due to travel requirements

The position provides the opportunity to operate in a unique natural environment whilst ensuring a safe and compliant estate is maintained to support essential military training. It is varied, offering a mix of challenges and responsibilities that include traditional facilities management, logistics support and fleet management.
Success requires a willing, confident leader to shape the team and take the site forward in this contract whilst looking at business optimisations to prepare for the next. The team you will lead at Wyke Regis Training Area also play an integral part in the military training that takes place on site, working alongside our Armed Forces and providing serviceable equipment to the end user of the estate. This integrated support creates a natural sense of pride and purpose, typically involving military bridging and the provision of safety vessels and crew for water‑based training.
The role is primarily based at Wyke Regis Training Area, with occasional travel to support the wider Landmarc team across the South West. Travel expenses from your base location will be supported by the company.
