Homelessness Service Teams strive to prevent homelessness and where this has not been possible, we provide short term emergency supported accommodation and subsequently work towards facilitating a swift move on into settled accommodation.
We are looking to recruit two Housing Support Workers that will support clients moving from temporary accommodation into more permanent and suitable accommodation. Options will include supported accommodation, social housing and private sector. Ensuring the right ongoing support is in place is important to ensure tenancies are successful.
Apply if you have experience of working with vulnerable people including singles and families and the different issues they may face, such as mental and physical health, substance misuse, financial difficulties and domestic abuse. Strong communication skills, welfare benefits knowledge and experience of working with multi agencies are key to this role.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
Please specify on your application form which contract you are applying for; Post 1: 18.5 hours per week permanent or Post 2: 14.8 hours per week fixed term.
Closing Date: Tuesday 2nd December 2025
Interview Dates: 9th/ 10th December 2025
We may utilise digital interview methods.
