Location: Rugby, CV22
Weekly Pay: £460 - £500
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-Term, Temp-to-Perm

Help little learners take their first big steps, supporting Reception pupils to grow in confidence, curiosity and independence every single day.

A welcoming and inclusive Ofsted rated 'Good' primary school in Rugby is seeking a warm, patient and motivated Reception Teaching Assistant to support whole-class learning and pupils with additional needs. This long-term role centres on supporting whole-class learning while providing additional help to Reception pupils with a range of SEN needs, including ASD, Makaton, PECS, communication difficulties and wider developmental needs.

You'll play a key part in helping children build early learning foundations, engage positively with the EYFS curriculum and develop the confidence and independence needed for a successful start to school life. Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team, you'll deliver tailored support, targeted interventions and consistent nurturing guidance to ensure every child feels safe, valued and able to achieve.

What the School is Looking For
- Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent)
- Experience: At least 6 months in a Primary or Early Years setting, ideally supporting pupils with SEN
- Skills: Confident delivering phonics, SEN strategies (ASD, Makaton, PECS, communication support), and small-group or individual interventions
- Knowledge: Strong grasp of the EYFS curriculum and inclusive classroom practice

About the School
- A welcoming two-form entry primary school with a strong community feel
- Part of a collaborative Multi-Academy Trust with shared values and consistent support
- Rated 'Good' by Ofsted, with a nurturing ethos recognised across the Trust
- Highly committed to inclusive, child-centred practice and emotional wellbeing
- Offers Forest School and outdoor learning as part of its wider curriculum
- Well-located with easy public transport links and supportive staff teams
