Prospero Teaching are delighted to be supporting a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Bacup, in recruiting a dedicated and inspiring Primary Teacher to join their team for two terms (January-July 2026).

The successful candidate will join a collaborative staff team who work hard to create an engaging, inclusive learning environment built on mutual respect and high expectations.
About the Role:
The school is seeking a passionate teacher to take responsibility for a well-behaved, enthusiastic class within Key Stage 2. You'll be supported by experienced teaching assistants and a leadership team who value professional development and staff wellbeing.
We Welcome Applications From:
- Qualified Teachers (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome)
- Candidates with strong curriculum knowledge and a creative approach to teaching
- Individuals who are committed to fostering a love of learning in all pupils
- Teachers with excellent classroom management and strong communication skills
Contract Details:
- Location: Bacup
- Position: Primary Teacher
- Start Date: January 2026
- End Date: July 2026
- Contract Type: Fixed-term / Long-term supply
- Working Hours: 8am 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)
- Salary: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS depending on experience)
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in a primary setting
- Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (or willing to complete)
- Enhanced Child DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
- Two professional, child-related references
