As a Social Work Assistant (Grade 6), you will play a critical role in supporting social service programs and providing assistance to individuals and families in need. Responsibilities
Assist social workers in conducting client assessments and developing service plans.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
Provide support to clients in accessing community resources, such as housing, healthcare, and employment services.
Assist in organizing and facilitating group sessions and workshops for clients on various topics.
Monitor client progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising social worker.
Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage underserved populations and promote available services.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support for clients.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in social work practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience working in a social services or community health setting is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and demonstrate cultural competence.
Basic knowledge of social service programming and resources within the community.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in computer applications and documentation practices relevant to social work assistance.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £16.62
