Thames Reach runs projects and services that help to end homelessness in and around London. We work directly with homeless people on the streets and in hostels. We work to prevent vulnerable people from becoming homeless. We help formerly homeless people get their lives back on track. We help people find work and access training and volunteering opportunities.

About this role…

We are looking for a Senior Practitioner to join the Greenhouse team.

The Greenhouse in Hackney delivers housing and healthcare services to homeless people in the borough. Thames Reach staff, working in partnership with Hackney council, provide housing advice and support to people with complex needs.

We will not accept applications where Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been used to assist with completing the competency questions.

You will:

.Hold a caseload of complex/high needs clients
.Be responsible for directly managing team members through supervision, appraisals and case management
.Represent the Greenhouse by working alongside key agencies and attending relevant multi-agency and partnership meetings
.Work alongside the Lead Manager to meet commissioning targets
.Be an excellent communicator who is able to form and maintain effective working relationships with all partners and is confident in representing Thames Reach at external meetings with multiple outside agencies.
.Support with the day to day running of the drop in service

You will have:

.An understanding of the Homeless Reduction Act and how that relates to the Greenhouse’s clients
.Experience of providing high quality housing advice in line with the Homeless Reduction Act
.Excellent communication skills, with the experience for form and maintain effective working relationships with all partners and is confident in representing Thames .Reach at external meetings with multiple outside agencies.
.Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to work with people to resolve their housing in a way that is person centred, and produced in collaboration with the partners and clients we support
.Experience in using computer software packages, including the ability to collate and present/advocate to relevant external stakeholders
