Hours: 8:45am–3:00pm, Mon–Fri, Term-Time Only (28.75 hrs)
Start/finish time flexibility may be possible
Salary: National Living Wage / Voluntary Living Wage (age dependent)
Contract: Permanent – Term Time Only
About the Role
We are looking for a warm, playful and enthusiastic person to join our friendly preschool team. As a Play Buddy, you will spend your day supporting children aged 2–4 years through play, curiosity and exploration. You will join in with singing, messy play, outdoor adventures, storytelling and imaginative games — every day is different!
This is an ideal role for someone who loves working with young children and wants to learn more about Early Years education. Training, mentoring and potential qualification pathways are available.
What You Will Do
Play alongside children, supporting their learning and wellbeing
Help create safe, exciting indoor and outdoor play spaces
Support snack, lunch and personal care routines
Follow safeguarding, health & safety and nursery policies
Work as part of a supportive and caring team
About You
Essential:
Kind, patient, playful and confident with young children
Good communicator and team player
Willing to learn and follow guidance
Desirable:
Experience with children
Level 2/3 Early Years Qualification
Paediatric First Aid
