At Broomfield Hospital we require a Portering Security shift Supervisor who will be required to work as part of an existing Supervisor Team. Shifts required will be 5 days per week Monday to Sunday and shifts patterns required to be covered 06.00-1400, 14.00-22.00 and 22.00-0600.
You will be expected to not only lead their shift but to take control of their staff for Portering tasks, lead on security shouts and fire marshal duties. They will also be required to cover and support the Portering controller on the manager of teletracking service, run reports and to delegate and chase up tasks as necessary.
As a Portering Security Supervisor will be hands and responsible for the efficient effective and professional supervision of the Portering team. This will be across the range of Portering services to wards and departments. this will include duties such as patient movement, transportation of specimens, medical gases, medical equipment, blood products supplies, transferring deceased patients to the Mortuary and emergency responses. etc.
You will be responsible for ensuring and providing an effective and efficient Portering and Security Service within Broomfield Hospital.
Supervising staff to ensure the highest standards of Portering and security service are maintained at all times.
Maintaining and managing electronic records such as annual leave, sickness and training, holding back to work interviews, sickness meetings and appraisals.
Escorting and ensuring that the collection of cash is handled within the Trust Standing Financial Instructions. The role is a 3 shift pattern, including earlies, lates and nights and working where rostered weekends and bank holidays.
