About the role

To provide a high-quality catering service for children, young people, their families, staff, and visitors to Chestnut Tree House, and patients, visitors and staff at St Barnabas House.

Essential criteria

To work to planned menus and children/young people’s/ adults individual needs liaising with care staff as required

Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements

Prepare catering requirements for events and meetings as required (buffets, working lunches, etc)

To collect, wash-up and put away used cooking utensils

To undertake general cleaning duties as directed by the Chef Manager

To help maintain kitchen, cooking areas, storeroom and kitchen equipment in a clean and safe condition

In Head Cook’s absence appropriate menu planning for children/young people’s meals, meetings and functions

Follow company policies and procedures
