As a Forest School Leader, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and educational outdoor learning experiences that foster a love for nature and promote personal growth. You will work closely with a diverse group of children, nurturing their curiosity, creativity, and resilience through hands-on activities and exploration.

Key responsibilities of the Forest School Leader include:
- Planning and implementing age-appropriate Forest School sessions that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of individual learners
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of participants by conducting risk assessments and adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues based on trust, respect, and open communication
- Assessing and documenting children's progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers
- Maintaining and developing the Forest School site, including tools, equipment, and natural resources
- Collaborating with other educational professionals to create a cohesive and holistic learning experience for all children
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A recognised Forest School Leader qualification (Level 3 or above)
- Significant experience in delivering outdoor education programmes to children of various ages and abilities
- Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and pedagogical approaches
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- A creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning
- A genuine passion for connecting children with nature and supporting their holistic development
- A valid DBS check and first aid qualification
