What the Role Involves
As a CYP Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing safety, stability, and encouragement to vulnerable young people. Your responsibilities will include:
- Offering emotional and practical support tailored to individual needs
- Promoting positive routines, healthy boundaries, and personal growth
- Keeping accurate and detailed daily records
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, management, and external partners
- Covering a range of shift patterns (including long days, short days, nights, and weekends), depending on the needs of each young person
Who We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Right to Work in the UK (we cannot provide sponsorship)
- At least 6 months of recent experience supporting Children or Young People in the UK
- Three references (two professional and one character reference)
- A current Physical Intervention certificate - or willingness to complete Team Teach Level 2
- An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
- Ideally, a full UK driving licence, as many roles include supporting with transport
Flexibility is essential, as shift requirements vary depending on the support package and the needs of the young person.
