Painting & Decorating TrainerCasual hoursWolverhamptonBrewers are a fourth-generation family business, we lead the UK marketplace supplying decorating materials to both trade and retail decorators and we are looking for an experienced Painting & Decorating Trainer to join our Learning & Development Team at our purpose-built training suite at our Wolverhampton Decorator Centre, on an ad-hoc basis (approximately 2-4 days a month).We are looking for someone who can provide hands-on support to our L&D team, delivering practical training to both our store colleagues and external customers. The training we offer covers a wide range of topics including paper hanging, spraying, and painting. As an experienced decorator, you’ll demonstrate various techniques, explain the merits of different products, and share your expertise with others.We’re passionate about developing our colleagues and customers, ensuring they’re equipped with all the practical skills they need. By joining us, you will help reinforce Brewers’ reputation as the first choice for decorators, both today and in the future.What will you be doing to support the team:Set up products and equipment for training sessions.Demonstrate surface preparation techniques, including filling and sanding.Show the differences between various paint and product types.Discuss product ranges with new and existing colleagues.Demonstrate basic wallcovering techniques, including application and removal.Set up and prepare materials for spraying and clean the equipment (additional training can be provided if needed).Clean down the practical area after training sessions, ensuring it’s ready for the next.Who we are looking for:Strong product knowledge and experience in the decorating industry.Excellent communication skills.A friendly and approachable personality.A passion for decorating and for Brewers as a company.Flexibility to cover approximately 2-4 days a month.Ideally, someone self-employed or with the flexibility to work ad-hoc days.
