Salary: £28,773.54 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, Avg of 42.63 per week, Monday-Friday 7am-4pm plus 1 in 3 Saturdays 7am-3pm
Location: Manchester Magistrates Court, Manchester, M60 1PR
G4S Facilities Management are recruiting a Security Team Leader on a full-time, permanent basis based in Manchester. This will involve working an average of 42.63 hours per week (£12.98 per hour), Monday - Friday between 7am and 4pm plus 1 in 3 Saturdays 7am until 3pm.
We are looking for a motivated individual to oversee comprehensive security services at a key site. This role encompasses physical security operations, safeguarding employees, visitors, facilities, and assets, and providing strategic leadership for the on-site security team.
Core Responsibilities:
Operational Management & Reporting: Organise, deploy, and supervise all security resources to achieve optimal operational and financial performance. This includes managing relief officer deployment, maintaining accountability for Security KPIs, and providing comprehensive monthly reports.
Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, motivate, and manage the on-site team, ensuring priority is given to training, personal development, employee relations, and adherence to uniform and PPE standards (including verifying all staff hold the necessary SIA licensing).
Incident & Emergency Response: Act as the primary responder for all security and safety incidents, initiating appropriate actions, providing detailed written reports, and ensuring timely notification of emergency services and management during major incidents.
Compliance & Auditing: Conduct regular checks on fire, safety, and security procedures. Ensure site security policies are strictly adhered to, reviewed regularly, and reported to the Account Manager.
Hands-On Support & Liaison: Provide day-to-day security officer support during periods of absence. Plan security for high-profile events and coordinate effectively with emergency services, client representatives, and internal personnel.
Client & Management Support: Provide expert advice and guidance on security matters, attend client meetings, and supervise security operations related to evacuations and similar events.
Essential Requirements:
Valid SIA Licence and CCTV Public Surveillance Licence are essential.
Demonstrated experience in People Management and Supervisory roles, with proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
Strong focus on Customer Service excellence, coupled with excellent Organizational and Influencing Skills.
Proficiency in clear and concise professional Report Writing
