Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of their organisation. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

This role is Home based with monthly visits to the client’s office based in Solihull required. This is a full time role working Monday to Friday.

Duties for the Finance Assistant will include but not be limited to the following:
Assist with processing invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims
Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts
Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
Assist with credit control and chasing outstanding payments
Process payments, receipts, and petty cash
Help prepare financial reports and spreadsheets as required
Respond to finance-related queries from internal staff and external stakeholders
Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative and accounting tasks

The ideal candidate for the Finance Assistant role will have the following:
Previous experience in an accounts or finance support role is essential
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
AAT qualification (studying or completed) is advantageous
