An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a forward thinking, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital in Bedfordshire. This exceptional practice is home to a highly skilled, friendly, and supportive team that’s passionate about delivering the very best in clinical care. With access to cutting edge technology and a strong ethos of learning and development, this is the perfect role for those with a passion for surgery. Strong surgical skills are essential, and supplemental pay is offered to surgical certificate holders or those working toward an AVP qualification.
The hospital is fully equipped with an ultrasound machine, digital and dental radiography, gastroscopy, bronchoscopy, operating microscope, and a dedicated dental suite, everything you need to work cases up thoroughly and confidently. The team includes Advanced Veterinary Practitioners in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Dentistry, Behaviour, and Exotics, providing a rich environment for collaboration and professional growth.
You’ll work alongside a well-established team of 12 experienced vets, supported by a strong nursing and admin team, in a hospital that genuinely values its people. With protected admin time, thoughtfully scheduled consults, and even a dedicated support vet role every two weeks, this practice has been designed to ensure excellent work life balance without compromising on clinical excellence. The Rota:
• Full time position
• 4 day week
• 6 Saturdays per year
• On call – fixed night every other week & 6 weekends & 1 bank holiday per year
