What skills and experience we're looking for
The Castle School is seeking a SEND Admin Assistant to join our SEND department. This vital role involves assisting with administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the SENDCo to ensure the smooth running of the department. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting inclusive education. Join our friendly team and make a difference in the lives of our students.
In addition to the above, the postholder would help to provide First Aid in the absence of the Medical Lead or during busy periods. Full training will be given and an additional First Aid Allowance (approximately £240 per annum) is payable for this role.
Applicants should be enthusiastic, patient, demonstrate flexibility, initiative and excellent communication skills, be a team player and have strong empathy skills. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
What the school offers its staff
We can offer you: An opportunity to work in an experienced and supportive team from whom you can learn, develop and grow. A friendly, busy and dynamic workplace where each day is different from the last. A competitive salary. Wider opportunities to be involved across our Trust. An energised and professional working environment.
Commitment to safeguarding
Blackdown Education Partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We particularly welcome applications from under represented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion.
