We are currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Senior Support Workers to join our therapeutic residential children’s home in Manchester. Our homes provide structured, trauma-informed care for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
In this role, you will help lead a stable, consistent care environment that promotes recovery, resilience, and long-term positive outcomes. You’ll lead shifts, support colleagues, and play a key part in developing care plans, delivering one-to-one support, and building trusting relationships with the young people in your care. Each day will involve promoting emotional regulation, encouraging positive behaviour, and supporting educational and social activities.
You must have at least two years’ experience working in residential childcare and hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). A strong understanding of safeguarding, therapeutic care, and trauma-informed approaches is essential. We’re looking for individuals who are emotionally resilient, calm under pressure, and confident in managing challenging behaviour. A full UK driving licence is highly desirable.
In return, we offer a competitive salary with sleep-in payments, regular reflective supervision, and opportunities for professional development including funded progression to Level 5. You’ll be joining a committed, supportive team working in a values-driven organisation that puts children’s well-being at the centre of everything we do.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and want to make a lasting difference in a young person’s life, we’d love to hear from you
