MASH - Prevention Officer

About the role

We are excited to recruit to this role of Prevention Officer MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub), within the Family Resource Service of the Council’s Early Help Division.

You will be part of the Youth Justice Prevention Team, and the role will be mainly based in the MASH team where you will be providing advice and guidance to partners with regards casework, related to prevention, from early help through to referral to social care. This will include advice on, legal issues and legislation in relation to the support and safeguarding of children and young people.

You will advise colleagues and partners on specific prevention related issues such as thresholds, pathways and triaging.

The ability to form positive relationships and work creatively is essential, as is the need to be highly organised with attention to detail and accuracy. Experience of partnership work with internal and external stakeholders is vital.

This is a part-time role, 18.5 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
