Registered Manager – Children’s Home

Salary: Up to £70,000

This is a rare opportunity to join a brand-new children’s residential service as their Registered Manager, leading with empathy, integrity, and a trauma-informed approach.

If you’re passionate about creating a nurturing, stable environment where young people can heal, grow, and thrive — and you’re ready to shape a new home from the ground up — this role offers both purpose and progression.

Alongside an excellent salary of up to £70,000, the service can also offer a relocation package and accommodation support for the right candidate, making this an ideal opportunity for those looking to relocate for a meaningful next step in their career.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare.
  • Ideally 2+ years’ experience managing a children’s home with a proven track record of good OFSTED outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, PACE approach, safeguarding legislation, and children’s home regulations.
  • Experience in setting up and running a children’s home is advantageous.
  • Confident leadership skills, able to handle challenging situations and provide reflective supervision.
  • Willingness to complete OFSTED fit test.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Commitment to promoting the child’s voice and providing nurturing, empowering care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the children’s home, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality care.
  • Lead and support a team to deliver trauma-informed care aligned with PACE principles.
  • Ensure all statutory records, incident reporting, and SOPs are maintained to a robust standard.
  • Coordinate staff rotas, contingency planning, and on-call duties.
  • Conduct meaningful reflective supervisions, identifying areas for staff support and implementing tailored development plans.
  • Oversee induction, training, and ongoing professional development for all staff members.
  • Monitor and maintain safeguarding procedures, legislation compliance, and OFSTED standards.
  • Support the setup of a new home, if required, and contribute to the continuous improvement of care practices.
