This longstanding local contractor is currently recruiting for a Senior Site Manager/Project Manager to join on with them on a permanent basis.

They have been in existence for 120 years, and are specialists in the new build construction and refurbishment of properties within the Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Defence, Leisure, Heritage, Conservation and Residential sectors.

Reporting to the visiting Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing all site based construction activities including short-term programming of works, health and safety, review of method statements, risk assessments, call off of materials, logistics, quality control, client liaison, coordination meetings, reporting on progress against program, etc, snagging and handover.

This role is with the regional office of a Bristol based main contractor with a good pipeline of work in the Bristol & Somerset areas.

The contractor is a busy national contractor with a £20m annual turnover in the region, and a proven track record in the delivery of new build and refurbishment schemes in the Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Defence, Leisure, Heritage, Conservation and Residential sectors.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

The successful candidate will have 8-10 years + of experience as a Site/ Senior Manager, will be self-motivated, proactive, demonstrating excellent technical, organisational, man-management, communication and communication skills. Proven track record of work for a top twenty main contractor advantageous.

Ideally from a trades, construction management or engineering background with a sharp eye for detail, you will possess excellent communication and man management skills, be well organised and proactive.

You will have sound planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, 'get it right first time' approach.

You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role.

You will be experienced in the Senior Site Management role, with a proven track record of successful project delivery placing safety, quality, positive client relationship, and supply chain relationships as priorities. If you have experience of mentoring junior managers and engineers also, that would be useful.
