IMPORT FREIGHT OPERATOR – OCEANFREIGHT/AIRFREIGHT
Offering a salary of £31,000 - £33,000
Previous Import experience required
CargoWise experience desired
Hybrid Working
Birmingham based.
Seeking a candidate who has gained experience of working in Freight Forwarding and has hands on experience of handling IMPORT FREIGHT OPERATIONS Oceanfreight and or Airfreight.
The role responsibilities will include;
Taking Import shipping enquiries
Making bookings with Shipping Lines, Airlines, hauliers etc
Arranging collections and delivery freight
Using CargoWise1 Freight system
Processing all shipping documentation and instructions
Preparing Customs Clearances
Tracing and Tracking Freight
Liaising effectively with Customers, Overseas agents and Carriers
Billing out files and raising invoices
Checking and passing invoices against Freight files for payment
Resolving any customer service issues in a professional manner
The successful candidate will be required to have gained hands on working experience within the FREIGHT FORWARDING industry handling IMPORT SHIPMENTS in Oceanfreight and/or Airfreight.
Previous experience of using CargoWise is an added advantage though not essential Have an in-depth knowledge of Freight Forwarding operations and procedures and effective communication skills, liaising across all levels via telephone, email and on occasions face to face.
Hybrid working is available after a successful 3-6 month period of training/probationary period, then a 60/40 hybrid working policy.
