Digital transformation, data and technology all play a central role in how we deliver our services from mobilising crews and accessing risk-critical information to managing resources and supporting back-office functions. As we continue to modernise, digital transformation is helping us build smarter, more connected systems that enhance responsiveness, improve decision-making, and strengthen community safety.
We are now seeking a motivated, experienced, and proactive individual to join our
Digital Data and Technology (ICT) Department as an Applications Manager. This key role involves supporting and managing a range of business and data applications that are critical to both operational and corporate functions. The successful candidate will coordinate a small team, work closely with stakeholders and suppliers, and ensure systems are secure, reliable, smarter and fit for purpose. They will contribute to digital transformation by enhancing system performance, enabling integration, and improving user experience through the adoption and optimisation of new technologies.
We are looking for someone with strong organisational and technical capabilities,
confident in managing within a complex DDaT environment. The ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams, solve problems proactively, and drive continuous improvement is essential. Experience in team management, system support and integration, and delivering technology-driven change will be key to success in this role. Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.
