Crynodeb
To act as a specialist clinician for the adult specialist weight management service and bariatric surgery service, supporting the clinical lead with evolving and embedding best practice into the clinical area. To manage a specialist caseload in this area. This may include advising the MDT about the assessment, treatment, management and care of patients who have a multi-pathological illness and/ or complex psycho social needs. Work autonomously within Trust policies and professional practice, maintaining accurate and comprehensive up to date records. To conduct specialist assessment and treatment of patients in a variety of settings with other members of the MDT to ensure effective care pathways and transfer of care/discharge. Determine a clinical diagnosis, develop, deliver, implement, evaluate and modify individualised treatment programs and/or provide specialist advice, ensuring appropriate pathways of care and communication via liaison and referral to other agencies as required. To participate in the education and training of qualified and non qualified healthcare / socialservices / education staff including medical staff.
