The Role
Do you want direct access to a family Board and the chance to shape financial strategy across UK and international investments? Ready to step into a high-trust role where your decisions genuinely influence outcomes?
About our company
Our client is a Single-Family Office which manages and runs a well-established investment company with a solid portfolio of UK and international interests.
You’ll be trusted to lead financial reporting and controls, working side-by-side with the Finance Director and advising directly at Board level. You’ll handle complex investment structures, take ownership of compliance and reporting and bring clarity to the numbers behind critical decisions.
Your impact will be immediate. You’ll ensure the financial information is watertight, navigate technical challenges across a range of investments and strengthen control frameworks—all while working in a close, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end financial reporting with complete accuracy
• Oversee tax compliance and regulatory filings (Companies House, HMRC)
• Handle complex investment valuations, bringing clear insights to the table
• Provide strategic input to the Finance Director and Board
• Maintain rigorous financial controls and respond swiftly to evolving business needs
The person
You will bring:
• Full ACA qualification and a solid audit/practice background
• Strong technical knowledge of UK compliance and tax systems
• Hands-on experience in valuing and accounting for investments (not property)
• The ability to cut through complexity and present clear financial thinking
• A collaborative, flexible approach suited to a small, high-functioning team
• Ideally, availability for four days a week—full-time considered for the right person
The Benefits
• High-visibility role with Board access from day one
• Involvement in both UK and international investment activity
• Broad, challenging remit with real decision-making influence
• Flexible working pattern
• A stable, respected company with a long-term perspective
