Clinical Responsibilities Carry out detailed assessments of service users needs and develop tailored packages of care. Apply evidence-based practice and introduce innovative approaches when appropriate. Use clinical knowledge and skills to formulate, implement, and review care plans. Maintain therapeutic relationships and collaborative partnerships to ensure effective service delivery. Offer support, guidance, and leadership to support workers and new team members. Communication Record all service user contacts accurately in line with the SABP record-keeping policy. Ensure clear, effective communication with clients, relatives, carers, visitors, staff, and professionals. Communicate in ways that are culturally sensitive and aligned with service users understanding levels. Seek meaningful consent for interventions or assessments. Develop strategies to overcome communication barriers. Promote open communication and encourage feedback from service users, carers, and colleagues. Quality & Service Improvement Lead on maintaining, monitoring, and improving service standards. Collect and collate data for audits, research, and performance evaluation. Identify and implement areas for service improvement using benchmarking and evidence-based practice. Encourage shared decision-making with service users and carers. Provide constructive suggestions for enhancing service delivery. Highlight any concerns appropriately and maintain a positive image of the team and trust. Ensure clinical supervision structures and effective appraisal processes are in place. Risk Assessment & Safeguarding Recognize the range of risks faced by the service user population. Complete risk assessments and apply risk management strategies per trust policies. Respond appropriately to crisis situations and escalate when necessary. Contribute to the CPA process and support service users, carers, and partner agencies. Identify vulnerability to abuse and follow safeguarding policies accordingly. Promote safety for staff, service users, visitors, and the public. Educate service users about health risks relevant to their needs. Professional & Personal Development Use supervision and appraisal to enhance performance and skills. Identify personal development needs and set objectives. Attend all essential training and maintain a personal portfolio of competencies. Support the orientation and induction of new staff members. Management Responsibilities Participate in staff recruitment, deployment, and management in line with SABP policy. Lead on developing, maintaining, and auditing service standards. Ensure care planning aligns with evidence-based practice, policy, and risk management. Maintain compliance with trust policies, standing orders, financial instructions, and confidentiality standards. Promote a healthy, safe, diverse, and inclusive working environment.
