The Best Connection are seeking a specialist High-Level Order Picker (HLOP) role within the Goods In department at our well-known client. You will be responsible for operating HLOP equipment to handle stock stored at height, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of incoming and outgoing goods.

This is a key role in the warehouse and distribution process, ensuring that customer orders are accurately selected, packed, and prepared for dispatch. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oder Selection:

  • Read and interpret order lists or digital instructions to identify required products.
  • Locate items in the warehouse using barcodes, RF scanners, or pick lists.

Packing & Preparation:

  • Check product codes, quantities, and quality before packing.
  • Securely pack and label items for shipment, ensuring compliance with company standards.

Inventory Management:

  • Update stock records after each pick
  • Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to supervisors.

Equipment Operation:

  • Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and shrink-wrap machines.
  • Operate High-Level Order Picker (HLOP) equipment for accessing stock stored at height.

General Warehouse Duties:

  • Assist with restocking shelves and organizing inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with health and safety regulations.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Physical stamina for lifting and moving goods (up to 25-50 lbs).
  • Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
  • Valid HLOP license (essential for operating high-level order picking equipment).

Working Hours & Pay Rate:

  • Monday - Friday (no weekends or Bank Holidays!)
  • 8am - 4.30pm
  • You'll start on an hourly rate of £13.47, with the opportunity to increase your earnings to £14.67 per hour by taking on additional responsibilities and roles within the warehouse!!
