Summary
About the Role:
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and responsible Passenger Assistant to accompany children on daily school runs. You will work alongside the driver to ensure that all passengers are transported safely, comfortably, and with care. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference in their day.
Key Responsibilities:
Accompany children (including those with special educational needs or disabilities) on the school run.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of passengers at all times.
Assist children with boarding and leaving the vehicle.
Maintain good communication with parents, schools, and the transport team.
Report any incidents, issues, or concerns promptly.
Support the driver with safeguarding and safety checks as needed.
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply).
Friendly, patient, and reliable personality.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work during school term times (split shifts).
Experience working with children or vulnerable people is desirable but not essential – training can be provided.
