We are looking for a professional Security Officer to join the team at a high-profile corporate head office. In this customer-facing role, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for employees, visitors, and contractors, while protecting people, property, and assets.
Key Responsibilities
As a Security Officer, you will:
Ensure the safety and security of the site and everyone on it
Remain vigilant, identifying and reporting suspicious activity or potential threats
Prevent unauthorised access and manage visitor entry
Maintain full awareness of daily site activities, events, and updates
Build positive, professional relationships with colleagues, reception teams, and customers
Adhere to Health & Safety procedures, reporting any breaches or incidents promptly
Conduct patrols, monitor CCTV, and operate security systems
Work independently and as part of a wider team depending on daily requirements
This role is highly customer focused and requires an individual who can represent the security function with professionalism and confidence.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Previous experience in a corporate security environment
Valid SIA licence: Door Supervisor (essential) and CCTV Licence (desirable)
Experience with CCTV monitoring, patrols, and access control systems
Strong customer service skills with a calm, approachable manner
Excellent attention to detail and a consistent, reliable approach
Confident using security systems and related technology
A strong team player with good communication skills
New recruits may be supported to enrol onto relevant apprenticeships for development
