Responsible to: The Employer – The boy’s parents

Hours: 4 Hours per week
Monday, Wednesday or Friday afternoon from 2pm can be split across 1-2 days

Hours are flexible and can be discussed at interview stage

Hourly Rate of Pay: £13.75 per hour

Based at: The home address in Whittington

Closing date: 28.11.2025



Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to support a 10-year-old boy at home and in the community ensuring his safety and welfare is priority. The young boy has autism and sensory processing disorder. He enjoys being active including walks, parks and soft play centres. The young boy lives at his home address in Whittington with his sister, parents and their pet cat. There are aspects of personal care involved in this role e.g. support with toileting.

Personal Specification
Driver essential with their own car & business insurance
Experience of working with children with SEN
Punctuality and reliability essential.
Flexible in the hours and times that you can work.
Be patient and supportive.
Be friendly and outgoing.
Be honest and trustworthy.
Be respectful of the child’s dignity, at all times.
Understand the need for privacy and confidentiality.
You should have a thorough understanding of personal safety.
A willingness to undergo any training highlighted by the employer.
You should have some knowledge and understanding of risks.
